World Music & Arts Festival

The 2026 Harrison Festival of the Arts took place from July 10 to July 19, 2026, in Harrison Hot Springs, BC. This 47th edition of the festival was one of the best attended in the history of the event, partially due to a strong lineup featuring some beloved Canadian performers and a compelling mix of styles from blues to bhangra, and from big dance bands to intimate, acoustic performances.

The Luckies were born In July, 2022 when Shari found herself with the bottom having fallen out of a project – her with two powerful female singer-songwriters she was bringing to the famed MusicFest in Comox BC – just days before the festival. She pondered who could replace such remarkable women and thought of Hilary Grist and Jeanne Tolmie. Both were an instant YES! They were only able to convene just a few hours before their MainStage set, and hit the stage with a miraculously polished performance, complete with gorgeous three-part harmonies on all the songs.

John Muirhead is a Toronto-based troubadour crafting big-hearted indie-folk songs for dreamers, wanderers, and hopeless romantics.

Like the powerful mandolinist and composer at its helm, John Reischman and the Jaybirds fashion a stylish take on bluegrass that seamlessly blends original songs and instrumentals with Appalachian old-time music for a truly unique band sound.

“I developed an alternate technique where I could cast my clay sculpture in another substance other than plaster thereby making the pieces permanent. I use brown paper towel, glue, and wallpaper paste with a resist layer of aluminum foil. Large, general, and natural shapes lend themselves well to this technique.

The masks are a positive mould that shows both sides of the sculpture. The side created in clay and also the negative interior side are in essence both what the mask hides and what the mask reveals.”
