A New Year With Lots Of Music
As the new year dawns, the Harrison Festival Society is ready to fill the Memorial Hall with music that stirs the soul, moves the feet, and connects our community. From virtuoso folk to electro-folk dance grooves, the remaining five concerts of Season of Performing Arts promise a journey across genres and cultures—all within the cozy intimacy of Harrison Hot Springs.
Mélisande
Mélisande is one of the leading female musical forces on the traditional Quebec music scene. She built her career with the release of four albums in the electrotrad style (an original blend of traditional song and electronic music) before revisiting her repertoire with an acoustic trad quintet on the 2024 album Rembobine.
The Ennis Sisters
The Ennis Sisters are a JUNO award-winning trio hailing from St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador. They have been captivating audiences worldwide for over 25 years with their seamless harmonies and compelling songwriting. Flavoured by Celtic and traditional Newfoundland influences, their music offers a broad mix of original songs as well as uniquely interpreted tunes and ballads.
Empanadas Ilegales
Empanadas Ilegales is a seven-piece, Vancouver-based Psychedelic Cumbia & Salsa band that will transport you to a world of contagious groovy melodies and altered sounds. Influenced by traditional Amazonian, Latin-Caribbean, and Andean psychedelic classics, they create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that’s perfect for letting loose on the dancefloor.
