Welcome to the official web page for Tunes About Town! Below you will find all the details that we know of so far about this new ongoing event presented by the Harrison Festival Society and in partnership with many of the local businesses in Harrison Hot Springs and Agassiz.
What it’s all about?
Back in June, when the Festival Society was busy preparing for the July Festival of the Arts, we were notified that we were successful in receiving a one-time grant from the Department of Canadian Heritage for presenting artists within the area with the intent of supporting local business in COVID recovery period. This grant has allowed us to hire various artists to perform at restaurants, attractions, and points of interest at no extra cost to the business and patrons.
But what will it look like?
Basically, things will be business as usual at most establishments with the added bonus of a live musical performer or group. Either the music is set up inside the establishment or is set up close by for all to enjoy! All performances will be age and family-friendly with the exception of establishments with age restrictions. Musical performances will vary in style and size. It may be a solo performer, a duo or even a band!
How much does it cost?
Nothing! The cost to come out and enjoy some music is free, however, the point of the project is to help out our local businesses, so many of the events are located in restaurants and I’m sure the hosts would appreciate you buy a meal or a drink!

I’m an artist and interested in performing, how can I get involved?
We would love to hear from you! Please send us an email to info@harrisonfestival.com expressing your interest. Please attach a description of your work, availability, and an EPK if you have one. Please note that not all artists that reach out will get a spot, it’s subject to availability and appropriateness to the venue.
The Harrison Festival Society has been presenting world-class music for over 45 years. We have built a reputation across Canada for being a leader in cultural and artistic presentations. For the most part, we have always stuck with presenting shows at a limited number of venues we have access to that are appropriate for our type of concerts. The Memorial Hall, The Beach Stage, Holberg Farm, and the Agassiz Ag Hall are a few of the venues we have used in the last few years. What really excites us about this project, is that we will be able to extend our physical reach to local partners and book even more artists.
