And We’re Back!
The time has finally arrived where we are proud to announce that the Harrison Festival will be back in Harrison this year. We are very excited to spread the word that we are basically back to normal with a full Beach Stage and Hall Lineup, Artisans Market along the waterfront, Children’s Day, Art Gallery, Theatre, Film and Literary Café Evenings and Workshops! Of course, we have all learned over the last few years that things can change in an instant, but we are feeling very good about this year’s Festival.
Dates and Lineup
The dates will be July 8-17th, so mark them in your calendar. Our lineup of artists is still being finalized but you can have a look at who is booked so far here!. If you haven’t already, sign up for our newsletter so that you can stay up to date with what’s happening! We can’t give away what exactly is coming yet, but let’s just say, we have a few pretty big names coming this year!
Come Volunteer!
We would also love it if you would consider volunteering at the Festival! The ten beautiful days in July are a great opportunity to meet people with similar interests and contribute to the Fraser Valley’s vibrant arts and culture scene. Don’t just attend, be a part of the Fest! We have many different kinds of volunteer opportunities appropriate for all ages, abilities and schedules. If this sounds good to you, then fill in the form on our volunteer page. From there you will be added to our list of volunteers and when the time is right you will receive an email asking what you would like to do and when. No commitments yet, we just want to get your contact info and a sense of what you might be interested in! If you have already filled the form out in the past, no need to do it again!
Be an Artisan
As mentioned above we are ready to welcome back all the lovely artisans to the waterfront with our renowned Artisan Market. This juried market which has been successfully attracting vast amounts of people to Harrison for over three decades will make its return once again. Many of the same artisans have applied already, but we would love to see more new faces. Applying is easy and can be done online through our Be an Artisan page. Our booth fees are low and for this year we have even decided to not charge a jury fee. For more information on the market and how to apply, visit the Artisan Market page before the application deadline of June 1st.
Safety
While it seems that all the restrictions we’ve been living with for the last two years have suddenly disappeared, we know that Covid has not. We take the health and safety of our community very seriously and we understand that returning to normal will not be easy for many of our patrons. We respect that. The Harrison Festival will be following any and all public health guidelines BC Public Health and The Fraser Health Authority set out at the time of the event. We will also have sanitizer and masks accessible and free to anyone that needs them. Our volunteers and staff will follow our protocols to ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable enjoying live performing arts together again.
