Lennie Gallant
East Coast songwriter Lennie Gallant has released sixteen albums of original songs which have won him a host of awards and nominations from the JUNOs, Les Prix Éloizes, and The ECMAs. His songs have been described as “true slices of life delivered with a poet’s flair and a rugged emotional sensibility”. His song Peter’s Dream, about the state of the oceans and those who harvest from it was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Lennie performs internationally and has toured, not only with his band, but also with symphony orchestras. His songs have been covered by many artists and he has performed with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers and with David Foster and his band. Lennie has two co-writes on Jimmy’s last album, and was invited to sing on it as a featured artist. One of Lennie’s physical albums actually was taken up to the international space station and circled the planet 248 times, finally giving the artist high rotation worldwide!
For his latest album, Shelter From the Storms, Lennie was honoured with the 2026 Canadian Folk Music Award for Solo Artist of the Year, the 2026 ECMA Folk Album of the Year, and the 2026 Music PEI Folk Recording award. It was also named one of the Top Ten Folk Albums of 2025 in a Roots Music critics poll and by members of the Canadian music industry.
He and partner Patricia Richard also record and perform as the popular Francophone duo, Sirène et Matelot. Their songs have achieved strong play on francophone radio and have consistently remained on the charts! Lennie Gallant is a member of The Order of Canada and has been recognized for his humanitarian efforts.
The show will begin at 7:30 pm but doors will open at 6:30 pm to avoid any lineups. A bar and concession will be available. The show will be two 45 min sets with a short intermission.
