Kalàscima Featuring Andrea Ramolo

Andrea Ramolo with Kalàscima is an exciting new international collaboration of world music in the Italian language featuring southern Italian electronic/folk band Kalàscima and multiple Canadian Folk Music Award nominee and alternative songwriter Andrea Ramolo. This musical endeavour supported by the Canada Arts Council was created with the intention of introducing Canadian audiences to the ancestral and folk music of southern Italy… but with a twist. Kalàscima blends Italian hip hop, folk, traditional, Balkan, and other Mediterranean sounds with electronic music. With Andrea’s soulful voice and connection to the traditional music and dance of southern Italy this project promises to get crowds jumping and dancing in a Mediterranean-style trance. Goat-skin hand drums, Italian bagpipes, accordion, Bouzouki,, baritone sax, multiple harmonies, drums, synth, and electronic sounds as well as the soul and passion of southern Italy is coming to Canada in 2023!

Where will the show be?

In Harrison at 290 Esplanade Ave. The Harrison Memorial Hall

How long will the concert be?

Our Hall Performances are typically two 45 min sets with an intermission in the middle

Will I be required to wear a mask?

At this time, masks will not be mandatory for indoor or outdoor, however, as we know, things may change by the time of the performance. Keep up to date with our COVID policies available on our website.

Will I be able to grab a drink and a snack at the show?

Yes, we will have a licensed bar and concession open at the show.

Will I be able to buy a CD or talk to the artist after the show?

It depends on the artist. We will have an area set up just for this, but it depends on how comfortable each artist feels about it and if they bring merch to sell. We usually find out about merch the day of, but we will update this when we know more. If merch is available, We are able to accept cash, debit or credit.

Will I be able to sit beside my friends?

Yes, Festival seating is first come first serve though.

Will there be bathrooms available?

Yes, bathrooms with either hand sanitizer or soap and water will be available.

Where do I park?

There is lots of parking just outside the venue. We recommend coming early though to get spots closer to the venue. Pay parking will be in effect.

Will seating be provided?

Yes! For indoor shows, we ask that patrons that would prefer to sit and enjoy sit near the back, and those that like to get up and dance, sit near the front.

I’m not up for seeing a live performance yet, can I watch online?

No, this year’s festival will not be available online.

Will I be able to buy my ticket at the door?

Yes, we will be able to process last-minute sales at the door if tickets are still available. We accept Debit, Credit and cash!
There are no tickets required if the show is on the beach.

If I don’t feel well, am experiencing any symptoms, or have been exposed to a known case of COVID-19, will I get my money back if I don’t come.

We really don’t want any sign of this virus anywhere near us, so don’t let the price of the ticket stop you from doing the right thing. We’ll get you your money back, just get in touch and we’ll figure it out. email info@harrisonfestival.com

What do I need to bring?

You’ll need to bring your ticket which you should receive in an email after purchasing. You can either print it out or you can open it on your phone for us to scan. If that fails, we can always check you in without it too. Other than that, bring your dancing shoes if the show calls for it and your good vibes!
