Saturday, September 21st @ 7:30pm | Holberg Farm (1632 Agassiz Ave.)

Due to lower ticket sales, we have decided to change the location to the more appropriately sized Holberg Farm House, located at 1632 Agassiz Ave. This will be a much more intimate and special night for everyone.

Once your tickets are purchased, you will be added to our guest list. No physical tickets are required to be picked up or presented at the door.

Cara Luft - Harrison Festival
Cara Luft

Juno award winning singer-songwriter-musician Cara Luft is that rare artist steeped in folk and traditional roots music almost from birth, yet willing to alter the fabric, stretch the boundaries and fearlessly bend genres and styles. A founding member of Canadian folk super-group The Wailin’ Jennys and the brainchild behind Winnipeg’s acclaimed powerhouse duo The Small Glories, Luft deserves her solid reputation as one of Canada’s finest live performers, armed with amazing tenacity, vision, energy and a contagious hilarity. Cara has a spirit that drives her to connect with people, and for this she is loved everywhere she goes. Cara’s the real deal, there’s nothing pretentious about her. And that sense of honesty, integrity, personality and spontaneity permeates both her music and her live shows.

To mark her long career and her 50th birthday, Cara Luft (The Small Glories, The Wailin’ Jennys) has launched “50 for 50” — fifty curated shows that are seeing her travel across Canada, the US and Europe.  She is joined by a cast of friends and special guest artists who share her sense of adventure and joyful music-making, as well as her passion to explore, collaborate and celebrate.  No two shows are the same.  For the Agassiz show, Cara will be joined by close friends The Doggone Brothers, a Kootenay-based duo specializing in old-time and bluegrass music and harmonies.  And Cara?  As one promoter put it, “I don’t know which is more beguiling… her 1000-watt personality, her wizardry on guitar and banjo, the power of her voice or her songwriting talent?  In any event, the audience is in for a real treat!”  Join Cara and The Doggone Brothers for a one-of-a-kind unique performance full of musical surprises.

The show will begin at 7:30 pm but doors will open at 6:30 pm to avoid any lineups. A bar and concession will be available. The show will be two 45 min sets with a short intermission.

Vocal Harmony Workshop

Due to low sign up numbers, we have decided to cancel the workshop.

You got questions, we got answers! Have a read of the following to gain an idea of what the night will look like.

Where will the show be?

Due to the Memorial Hall being booked for the Harrison by-election. The Harrison Memorial Hall became unavailable after we had booked this show, so we will be hosting it at Holberg Farm. 1632 Agassiz Ave, Agassiz, BC V0M 1A0. We will set up a small stage outside and all seating will be under the cover of tents. Best to dress for the weather.

Will there be bathrooms available?

Yes, bathrooms with either hand sanitizer or soap and water will be available.

How long will the concert be?

The band will play for two 45 min sets with a brief intermission.

Will I be able to grab a drink and a snack at the show?

Yes, we will have a bar and concession at the show!

Will I be able to buy a CD or talk to the artist after the show?

It depends on the artist. We will have an area set up just for this, but it depends on how comfortable each artist feels about it. We usually find out about merch the day of, but we will update this when we know more. If merch is available, please bring a debit or credit card, no cash.

Will I be able to sit beside my friends?

Yes, of course.

Where do I park?

There is lots of parking just outside the venue. There is no pay parking to worry about.

Will seating be provided?

yes. But you will probably want to bring your own lawn chair as it might be more comfortable.

If I don’t feel well, am experiencing any symptoms, or have been exposed to a known case of COVID-19, will I get my money back if I don’t come.

We really don’t want any sign of this virus anywhere near us, so don’t let the price of the ticket stop you from doing the right thing. We’ll get you your money back, just get in touch and we’ll figure it out.

Will I be able to buy my ticket at the door?

Yes, we will be able to process last-minute sales at the door depending on availability. We accept Debit, Credit and cash!
