Bring a ukulele or your voice to join fellow music lovers for a fun session. Whether you’re brand new to playing a ukulele, dusting off your ukulele for the first time in a while or a seasoned strummer, this has been a popular workshop to come and make music with others.
We start things off with a quick intro to three basic chords (C, G, F) for new or returning players. We then move into playing old favourites from the Harrison Festival Ukulele Gathering Songbook. You can download the 2025 edition through the Harrison Ukulele Gathering Facebook page’s File, grab a printed copy at the event or if a local, ask Earla for a printed copy before the event. As always, you are welcome and encouraged to bring fav music to share.
What to bring to the hall:
- Ukulele (and a spare, if you’re willing to lend)
- Songbook (printed or digital)
- Music stand (bring an extra if you have one)
- A positive attitude and fun-loving kindness
Other Details:
- Free parking is available in the field on Miami River Drive, a 10-minute walk from the hall.
- Paid parking closer is available near the beach though arrive early to find a spot.
- Seating is provided, washrooms available in the hall
- Volunteers who are experienced players are welcome to come along to support beginners!

It’s been a while since I’ve played ukulele or sang however this summer, I’m looking forward to hosting our village’s ukulele gathering. Come on out and let’s make music at the 2025 Harrison Festival of the Arts!
