Performances

Hall Stage:

Missy D | 11:45pm & 1:45pm

Named Francophone Artist of the Year in 2024 by the Western Canadian Music Awards, Missy D is an inspirational femcee who has been rapping since she was 11 years old. Hailing from the 3 corners of the motherland (Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, Zimbabwe), Missy D calls her catchy bilingual music rap & soul and makes music as a form of therapy to express all her feelings, share a message and connect with listeners. Her music is a fusion of sounds of her childhood from french melodies to R&B, soul, jazz, hip hop, rock and rap legends. It’s all for the culture and for us. She wants to speak for them, sing for them, and empower folks with love and music. Missy’s popular hit “Case Départ,” was a finalist in the 2023 Manie Musicale annual song competition for students and teachers of French. This artist will have you catching too many feelings or that je ne sais quoi singing YES MAMA as Missy D embraces diversity in instrumentals, music, and most of all people.
