What happens if it rains?
That sounds like a trick question when you live in BC. But, good news: The Festival is a rain, or shine (or rampant geese) event!
Thunderstorms though… they may cause a delay in programming. Follow us on social media and we’ll let you know about any delays.
What is the Harrison Festival of the Arts?
Well, it’s a Festival. In one of the most beautiful parts of the Fraser Valley. An event the whole family can enjoy! It features music from all corners of the globe, as well as visual and literary arts. But wait. There’s more. There’s also theatre, a large waterfront artisan market, workshops and a special day for children.

When and where is it held?
When: Friday, July 12th – Sunday, July 21st

When is the performance schedule released?
Ah, the secret to our saucy musical lineup. We won’t keep you waiting for long. The performance schedule is released a few months prior to the Festival. Want to be the first to know so you can shout it from the rooftops? It’s easy and will only take a second. Sign up for our mailing list or visit our Artists Lineup page… for more information.
How do I get to the Harrison Festival?
Harrison is accessible by bus, car, bike/foot. Or ride an emu…we’re all for originality! As long as you come join us! Visit our Travel page for more information.
Can I ride by bike to the Festival?
Yes! We’re all about eco-friendly options. Bike parking is certainly available.
Where should I stay in Harrison?
If you want to take full advantage of the Festival, we suggest staying at one of the local Harrison hotels. Then you’re within walking distance to the Festival (a bonus if you want a few after-Festival drinks). Some hotels allow access to other amazing amenities, like the mineral hot springs! I lost/forgot my ticket, what do I do?
It happens. But in our case, you don’t actually need a ticket at all, we track peoples names and utilize a guest list at our hall shows, so we can look up your order very easily. If you need another confirmation email though Contact our Festival Office at 604.796.3664. We’ll most likely be able to help you out!
What should I bring to the Festival?
- Sunscreen
- Hats
- Sunglasses
- Non-professional film and digital cameras
- Comfortable footwear
- Blankets or low back lawn chairs
- A water bottle
- We accept cash, but prefer credit and debit cards now.
The following items are prohibited:
- Weapons of any kind
- Professional cameras & recording devices (no SLR/DSLR or cameras with detachable lenses)
- Illegal substances
- Laser pens and similar focused-light devices
- Bad attitudes
- Pets (inside the hall)
Is the Festival accessible to people with disabilities?
We want everyone to come out and enjoy the Fest. So we make sure that every aspect of the Festival is accessible/friendly. If you have any concerns, please contact our Festival Office at 604.796.3664
Any tips on preparation for a day at The Harrison Festival?
We suggest preparing for the event as follows:
- Dress in cool, unrestrictive, lightweight clothing
- Bring sunglasses
- Lather up in sunscreen and bring some extra in case it’s needed
- Bring a hat
- Wear comfy shoes
- Stay hydrated!
Are kids allowed?
Let us think…Of course, YES. As much as we love our adult guests, we also welcome our tiniest ones. In fact, we have a Children’s Day during the Festival, which is dedicated to youth and the perpetually young at heart. Plus kids 12 and under get into our hall shows for free. Can I use my credit/debit card at the festival?
Credit cards and debits are both accepted.
Will there be food & beverages?
We know you’ll work up a healthy appetite dancing and clapping to our international lineup. So there will be a Festival concession during all Evening Hall shows. There’s also many wonderful restaurants to choose from in Harrison Village. For a list of the best places to grab a bite, visit Tourism Harrison.
Will you have merch for sale?
What would a Festival be without a T-shirt souvenir? How will anybody know where you’ve been for the past few days? Festival t-shirts, and many other items, will be sold at the main merchandise tent. Artist merch will also be available at either venue. Don’t forget about the Artisan Market along the beach. It’s open on both weekends!
Where are washrooms located?
Ah. The inevitable question, and an important one, for sure. We’ve got you covered. Public washrooms are located behind the beach stage, right next to the lagoon. There are also washrooms inside the Memorial Hall, which are open to the public on all days of the Artisan Market. Check out our Festival map.
Will there be night shows?
Yes. Another reason to stay for the night. Evening performances happen every night of the Festival inside the Harrison Memorial Hall. All shows begin at 8:00pm, except on Sundays when they begin at 7:30pm.
How can I apply to become an Artisan?
We love our artisans! They make the Festival memorable and also add to our diverse community of art-loving oddballs. If you’d like to be an artisan at the festival, please complete our online application.
How can I become a Volunteer?
We can’t say enough about our volunteers! They are the bread to our butter, the Ying to our Yang and the Festival couldn’t happen without their generous help! If you’d like to volunteer at the Festival, please apply here.
How can my company become a Sponsor?
We love those words. In fact, we’ve come to rely on the generosity of our sponsors and community partners to make this a stellar event, for all involved. What happens if the event is cancelled?
Heaven forbid! But in this case, if a single day or multiple days of the Festival had to be cancelled, ticket holders will be notified of the cancellation and our refund policy.
